Rosehill Victoria Park
About Rosehill Victoria Park
Rosehill Victoria Park is one of the borough’s older urban parks opening in 1901, coinciding with Queen Victoria’s death and was renamed in her honour. Prior to this the park was laid out as private grounds to Rosehill Hall and still retains some historic features from this era. You can still see part of the heated wall which surrounded the kitchen garden.
Rosehill Hall was built around 1830 by the Firth family, the Hall served as a lavish home and stands as a proud feature of the park. It is now home to Rotherham Talking News Papers and a Pre-School Nursery.
At almost 14 hectares, the park is a perfect refuge from today’s busy lifestyle and provides a relaxing atmosphere for visitors.
